Organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Vijay Hazare Trophy is the national List A championship, and Jharkhand were drawn in Group A for the 2025-26 edition, which ran from 24 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. The side was led by Ishan Kishan, with Kumar Kushagra as vice-captain.

Jharkhand Cricket Background

To understand the Vijay Hazare Trophy Jharkhand squad, it helps to know the cricketing culture behind it. Jharkhand's greatest gift to cricket is MS Dhoni, the world's finest white-ball captain. His legacy inspires every Jharkhand cricketer. The JSCA Stadium in Ranchi is a world-class facility. Jharkhand fields a well-drilled squad, with strong wicketkeeper-batters reflecting Dhoni's influence. They regularly qualify from VHT group stages, with their calm, calculated approach to chasing targets being a distinctive team strength.

Jharkhand in Vijay Hazare Trophy History

Jharkhand have won the Vijay Hazare Trophy once (2010–11). Jharkhand players have also led the tournament's individual charts: Ishank Jaggi topped the run charts in Jharkhand's 2010–11 title season; Shahbaz Nadeem was the leading wicket-taker in 2018–19.

Jharkhand Campaign in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26

In the Group A stage, Jharkhand played 7 matches, winning 4 and losing 3, to finish 4th in the group on 16 points with a net run rate of -0.042.
